With the rapid development of renewable energy systems, electric transportation, energy storage, data centers, electric drives for robotic systems, electric aircraft and other emerging electrical applications, power electronic converters are facing increasingly stringent requirements in terms of efficiency, power density, power quality, and dynamic performance. These growing demands have highlighted the importance of developing compact, highly efficient, and high-performance power conversion systems for a wide range of applications. To address these challenges, extensive research has been conducted on advanced converter topologies, high-frequency power conversion, soft-switching techniques, modulation and control strategies, and magnetic and passive component integration. In addition, advanced design and optimization methodologies, including artificial-intelligence-assisted modeling, optimization, and control, are opening new opportunities to further improve converter performance and accelerate the development of power electronic systems.
This special session focuses on recent advances in high-efficiency and high-power-density power conversion, covering innovative converter topologies, advanced design and control techniques, component integration and optimization, and practical applications. It aims to bring together researchers and engineers to exchange new theoretical developments, design methodologies, and experimental achievements, and to explore emerging technologies and future directions in high-performance power conversion.
